My name is Mike Nichols and I'd love to show you around the CWE.

Welcome to the Central West End! During the Gilded Age, the CWE was the wealthiest enclave in Saint Louis, which was America's fourth largest city at that time. Much of that wealth-flexing grandeur remains and has lived many lives since. I'm a local armchair historian and natural storyteller who has spent years researching the eclectic places, characters, and events around the CWE that have made this storied neighborhood such a quintessentially unique place as well as a great lens through which to talk about the history of this fascinating once-prominent city.

For the foodies out there, my partner and I have tried to capture the most enjoyable aspects of the many amazing food + historical tours we've taken around the world. We believe we now offer the best St. Louis food tour we could imagine combined with unforgettable yet nearly-forgotten stories about St. Louis and the many lives of the magnificent CWE.
